Introduction
There is plenty of Faith, Hope and Love here, solid science and very little preaching. The members of our multi-national team are enthusiastically products of western civilization inspired by our shared social and spiritual traditions.
Origin Stories
We firmly believe in science and evolution, commonly understood as “survival of the fittest”. Since the first campfire, it is well understood that we raise our next generations with our stories. We believe that Grandparents and Parents have lost control of providing a virtuous environment and the delivery of a positive narrative necessary to allow their children to develop and thrive in a better future. We believe that the quantity and the quality of our “fittest” heirs – our legacy – is in danger. So do you, or you would not have gotten even this far into our story.
Adam and Eve had a pretty good deal in the Garden but made some mistakes. Cain and Abel amplified the hard startup with the hunter/ farmer issue. But, over generations humans developed a very successful kind of family economy at the family business/farm, village and national ecosystem levels. In this model of family life, every child was precious and had work to do and elders to care for in the future. The circle of life if you will. The child went through natural stages of development gaining mastery and purpose. There were simple questions, easily answered about the meaning of life.
Family Demographics
Not so long ago, much of the population of Western Civilization was still organized on the agrarian ecosystem principles. Until and contributing to the fall of the Soviet Union, a core strength of the people of Poland, for example, was the 40% of the population still living a rural lifestyle, with plenty of healthy children.
Then everything started to change, everywhere, in Western Civilization. You can choose for yourself which were the driving factors, but we can all assess the results and trends after a few generations.
The fundamental building block of a future for humanity, the family, is in deep trouble after a few short generations of the liberated, urban, information age. Marriages are optional, later, hard to start and hard to maintain. Skipping the important politics to focus on the demographic science: the Total Fertility Rate (TFR) statistics are driven by the average births per female over a lifetime. It is natural science that if women don’t have 2.1 children, the population will decrease. Essentially no western country maintains the minimum TFR of 2.1. It is a national emergency in South Korea with a TFR=0.74, Japan closely follows with a TFR=1.2.
All current western country populations are on a trend line to decrease significantly – without very substantial immigration – from somewhere else. Again, there is no need to discuss controversial politics here, but the results are important:
In 1900 in our headquarters country, Poland, the TFR was 6.0, the current TFR as of April 2025 is 1.16 and on the decline. We would like to change the future, otherwise the prediction is that the population of natural Polish people will be cut in half by 2100. In our software development country, Ukraine – the TFR is similar, but the challenges for the future are too enormous to consider here. In our founder’s mother country, the USA, the TFR in 1900 was 4.0, but it is now arguably 1.78. Arguably because the counting is highly politically charged right now and we will take a pass on predicting the future.
New Stories
Sounds like science fiction but it is true. Environmentalists like Greta Thunberg told our children that the world was burning up and it is their duty not to consume or reproduce. We collectively told our children a few years ago that they could not visit Grandma, or she would die. They could not go to school, or they would die. They could not go outside without a mask. The one or two children in the family apartment should “study in your room and be quiet because mommy is busy at work” in the kitchen. All strangers are danger. Immigrants are rapists and murderers. Russia and North Korea are getting ready to use nuclear weapons and destroy the world. Not to mention China and Iran. Our leader is a hero, the other one is evil or the other way around.
Many children struggle to understand visitation rights, new pairing of, or single parents, natural or contracted, state sponsored or private care givers, natural or upgraded moms and dads and grandparents. Which Moms and Dads are the bad ones, which Dads and Moms are the good ones? Where is Mommy or Daddy? And it always depends on who is telling the “new stories”. Why are abortion rights so important, and what does abortion mean? During this family structure melt down, “Social” media and government took over telling our children their bedtime stories and defining our relationships. If you were a 7-year-old child raised in this chaos, would you aspire to an independent corporate future – or your own family? Will even these 1.x TFRs hold up for another generation?
Addressing Helpless Primary School Children: In all this confusion, very little is expected from the children. We can no longer offer the child the glorious and meaningful work of collecting eggs, milking the cow or digging potatoes. This is where the serious new problems for the future of humanity start. In the new stories, our primary school age children understand what a “non-playable character” (NPC) is from playing games by themselves. Many of our children become accustomed to and therefore more comfortable in isolation, introversion and low stress environments. They are either dragged or propelled through a more or less effective education system and arrive at the externally productive and reproductive stages of their lives with little ambition, skills or self-discipline. Simply lacking good habits for success. In the current (early 2025) political revolution in the USA, it is daily news that the USA spends the most and has the worst childhood educational results in the Western world. The USA is scrapping the Federal Department of Education.
Addressing Hopeless Teenagers: In the new but constantly shifting stories, teenagers are confused about relationships, genders and a future when Artificial Intelligence and/or robots can do everything better, cheaper and faster than they can. Each and every hour in western civilization approximately 30 teenagers attempt to kill themselves. About 8 of them succeed to commit suicide. Every hour of every day. An unknowable percentage of teenagers are thinking and engaging in an ever evolving and expanding range of forms of self-harm.
A smaller total next generation with a higher percentage of NPCs followed by an epidemic of teenage suicide are the consequences of the new stories. We don’t need to add anything to your daily exposure to the new health problems, obesity and general lethargy of too many children. Some great thinkers expect that the next human crisis will be a crisis of “meaning” = “What is the purpose of my life?” Put yourself in the kid’s shoes and ask: “Why am I here, what am I supposed to do?”
Addressing Lonely Adults: For most readers of this story, the case studies you probably know the best sit next to you in the office or you see them on screens at work. And many more in every setting, or they are already “invisible”. These are adults who have either tried and failed or not tried or have given up or simply reject the idea of finding a ‘helpmate” to start a family with. It is easy to see how the environment that is creating helpless children and hopeless teenagers is a one way path to lonely adulthood. We won’t go on, because we don’t need to convince you and it probably hurts to think about it. Im2be® is hopefully named drawing on great and fundamental stories: Abraham’s inquiry at the burning bush and Hamlet’s soliloquy. Moses recorded that God declares and we can recommend that “I Am Who I Am”. Shakespeare’s Hamlet considers whether “to be or not to be” and we recommend Hopeful People Technology to rebuild and fortify families and reintegrate children to chose life.
We are driven by the philosophy of Love, the power of Love. The United States civilization is currently struggling about the restoration of “common sense”. Ukraine is in what can be best summarized as a war between good and evil. Poland is in the middle. Many people have “real problems” but almost everyone has “personal problems”.
There is no judgement here for struggling parents. Today’s problems are universal. The author of this story is a grandfather to natural and accepted grandchildren, father of daughters who have not had their own children, yet.
Because the tragedies in families have my full attention, I am the close witness of too very many attempted and successful suicides among young people.
This year (2025), I drank late night Turkish tea in Istanbul with two hotel workers, displaced Muslim Kurds, in a hotel 200 meters from the Hagia Sophia, which dramatically changed landlords in 1453. We three not so wise men with very different opportunities and journeys in life met and honestly discussed the miseries and long-lasting downstream consequences of the 9 marriages and 8 divorces we had accumulated between us. Every father – child, grandfather-grandchild, husband-wife scenario imaginable. Heirs who have reached the pinnacle of success. Heirs who struggle to provide for themselves. Champion athletes and suicides. Voluntary and involuntary expatriates.
As a born again Roman Catholic I am accustomed to doing penance and using suffering to do good. As a psychologist and businessman in IT, I chose to recognize problems as opportunities – not to exploit – but to offer solutions.
In our multinational development team, we aspire to fulfill the two great commandments of Love. The highly promoted motivations are all selfishness, what you get out of a relationship is simply: Lust. Love is all about what you give and we believe that families and children are the right place to start building a better future. After 18 years of trial and failure, we launched and learned from delivering Im2be 6.0 into 1,000 families for the last 3 years, energized by the Covid pandemic. Returning to the subject of evolution. We do believe in the enlightened philosophy of Pierre Teilhard De Chardin:
“Someday, after mastering the winds, the waves, the tides and gravity, we shall harness for God the energies of love, and then, for a second time in the history of the world, man will have discovered fire.”
