During the time span of my work on Hopeful People Technology my own status changed from father of my last baby boy, to Grandfather. If you were born in the post WWII Baby Boom in the USA as I was, I hope we have not already experienced the “best of it” together. The current frantic efforts to label the following generations with letters that have already ended in Z (think seriously about that – Gen Z), I personally hope that western civilization has not already seen its best times.
We used to talk in commonly understood terms about the “Nuclear Family”. We all know that this ancient winning strategy for mankind is under attack, even in a “fight to the death”.
So, it is time to activate the “Extended Family”. Single parents need help from their elders, aunts and uncles and good family friends. These are not the days when 3 generations lived together on the farm. They are also not the days when the kids conspire to put Granny in the “home”.
In 2025 (how time flies) many grandparents are a lot more valuable for housing and day care and financial support. The elders may also be the only part of the extended family with a solid financial footing. Most of us plan to hand our financial legacy down to our children and grandchildren. But in these revolutionary times of the “return to common sense”, the real legacy we oldsters offer is Our Wisdom. Delivered with a generous helping of Our Love. Our hard won wisdom was passed down to us in different times, over the kitchen table, in front of the fire place, and then augmented by our own endless trials and efforts and mistakes and occasional successes with our own families.
If your family is all together you are the among the lucky ones and it is possible your engagement now can repair a lot of old mistakes and build a better future for them, and legacy for you. Time to renovate your family. This is the time to invest your precious time for the highest, and longest, return.

From the very beginning, we set our highest goal as saving one life. We didn’t accept a single person on our very large team who didn’t believe we would do it. Probably we have already succeeded, but now we have faith in saving one life at a time.
Our generation carries a heavy load of responsibility for the world everyone lives in today. Good and Bad. Leave your kids and grandkids alone with a selfish, fear based civilization surrounding them and AI and see what happens. Nobody knows. Or – give Im2be a try!
